MIR reaching the team

Preferably join and participate in the weekly MIR team meeting where you can raise issues or discuss your case with the whole team.

At other times, but with no guarantee that a majority of the team will be available, you might join and ask in the Ubuntu Main inclusion requests channel.

MIR team meeting

The MIR Team holds weekly meetings for 30 minutes every Tuesday at on the Ubuntu Matrix Server in the Ubuntu Main inclusion requests channel.

If you have a request or issue to discuss, it is highly recommended to join and participate in this weekly meeting. You should also attend these meetings if you submit an MIR request, until it is approved or rejected.

The purpose of the meeting is:

  • to allocate a fair share of work between each member of the MIR team

  • to provide a timely response to reporters of MIR requests

  • to detect and discuss any current or complex cases

Due to the nature of the Ubuntu Development Process, there are times (e.g. close to Feature Freeze) when this meeting is busy and others (e.g. right after a new release) when it is quieter. Consequently, response times along the MIR process are (on average) usually faster in those quieter periods after the release of a new Ubuntu version.

Meeting template

If you’re chairing the meeting, you can use the following template:
